About the Role:
Ortega Car Care in Jacksonville, FL is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who's ready to do great work without sacrificing their weekends. This is your chance to join a shop that values your skills, respects your time, and pays you what you're worth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide variety of vehicle makes and models
- Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly
- Execute engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system repairs
- Utilize diagnostic scan tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex issues
- Complete accurate repair orders and document all work performed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work bay and shop environment
- Collaborate with service advisors to ensure timely and quality vehicle turnaround
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on automotive technician experience required
- ASE certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and repair software
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, suspension, electrical, and drivetrains
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced shop environment
- Must supply own professional-grade tools

Compensation: $90,000.00 per year
